Clinical study of Fever of Unknown Origin


Abstract
The diagnostic efficacy of abdominal computed tomography was evaluated in 30 patients of febrile illness.
The positive rate was 86% in 21 patients with clinical finding suggesting abdominal pathology, but only 22% in 9 patients without clinical finding.
It is concluded that abdominal computed tomography is useful when clinical finding suggesting abdominal pathology is present.
